Canon proudly presents a new and improved version of the HV30: the Legria HV40. This camcorder has the same weight and size of its predecessor, but it comes with the added bonus of a host of DV and AV inputs, as well as a digital/analogue converter for transferring old videos to digital supports. The Legria HV40 is a modern camcorder that allows you to save and archive your videos easily. You'll find that the Legria HV40 comes with many more features than the HV30. It has a brand-spanking new 2.96-megapixel Full HD CMOS sensor and a 1080i HDV recording mode. In fact, you can record images in Full HD quality on a single MiniDV tape. What's more, the HV40 is equipped with an HDMi socket, which makes displays on LCD televisions even clearer. The Legria HV40 boasts a large-range optical image stabiliser for added user-friendliness. It also has a video lamp and 0.2-lux sensitivity, making it possible to take fantastic shots at night.
