The D300s takes all the features of the D300 digital SLR camera and adds them to an HD video recording mode. In fact, with the D300s, you'll actually be able to save videos to SD or SDHC memory card (with only a CompactFlash slot). 

The D300s is equipped with a DX format, 12.3-megapixel CMOS sensor and has 6,400 ISO sensitivity for taking high-resolution photos for most publications. The Multi-Cam 3500 FX autofocus system (51 focus points and 15 cross-type sensors) provides excellent coverage as you take photos. Meanwhile, the EXPEED processor produces images of unmatched quality, and the dust-removal feature ensures clear picture rendering at all times. 

The D300s also has an impressive shutter speed of up to 1/8000 sec, and it captures shots at a rate of 7 fps, making it the ideal camera for sports photographers or action reporters. 

The 3" TFT screen on the D300s rivals that of its competitors, displaying images in 920,000-pixel resolution and allowing photographers to set up a snap directly on-screen using the LiveView function.
